Expert advice for Product Manager
1
Batch all meetings into the afternoon to protect morning deep work.
2
Spend 30 minutes daily reading user feedback and support tickets.
3
Use a weekly "strategy hour" to revisit your product vision.
4
Say no to meetings without a clear agenda or outcome.
5
Communicate decisions in writing to keep async teams aligned.
In this template the day runs 08:00–17:00 in nine time blocks: about 3 hours of meetings (stand-up and sprint planning, a stakeholder meeting or user interview, a cross-functional sync), 2 hours of protected deep work on PRDs and specs in the morning, 3 hours of admin such as metrics review, Slack triage, and roadmap and backlog updates, and a 1-hour lunch.
Give each weekday one theme so meetings don't fragment every day: plan the sprint on Monday, talk to customers on Tuesday, keep Wednesday as a meeting-free maker day for specs, align stakeholders on Thursday, and review metrics on Friday. Within each day, batch meetings into the afternoon so mornings stay free for focused work.
